We're here to help, and we'd be sincerely happy to do so.
Some principles I have on management:
I'm not your father, nor your teacher. My role is more like a mentor.
You're not a child, nor a student. You're adult and responsible.
My job is to help do your best job.
I won't tell you what to do. My objective is to help you level it up.
Transparency
Here, you're in the company encyclopedia. You have access to every experiment we ran and lessons we learned in the past.
With great powers comes great responsabilities.
Don't start from a blank page. Feel free to explore it, and please ask for feedback and best practices. It will level up your skills. And it will make us grow.

What we expect from you
Stay hungry and foolish like Steve.
We learn often, we learn early. And we expect it from you too.
And send Daily Status Updates.
As a remote company, we share updates on a regular basis. Daily actually. It's key to stay in sync as a team.
In these Daily Status Updates, we don't share everything we've done. We focus on the Top 2-3 key takeaways. It helps us stay aligned and focus. Also, it helps us prioritize the next action items. And above all, it helps us ask for feedback when needed.
Keep it short. It's simpler to write—and to read.

The objective of a Daily Status Update isn't to share everything you've done. Focus on the Top 2-3 key takeaways. Keep it short. It's simpler to write—and to read.
fmfmerian For example, your Daily Status Update for today:
fmfmerian The objective of this meeting is to have your feedback and thoughts on your very first days as a new team member. How were they? Did you enjoy them? How may I help you?
Update your profile on LinkedIn. Feel free to post an update with a social card.
Meet the team. By the end of Month 1, you should have met every team member.
fmfmerian 1:1 calls may make you feel discomfortable because all it means is "meeting." Instead, say the first thing that pop into your head to break the ice, positive and about the other person.
