 t=0  Welcome to Range!

Subject: Waving Hand  Welcome to Range!
Hi Florent,

I'm Dan Pupius, the CEO of Range. We founded Range because we were tired of ineffective meetings and feeling disconnected from our teammates around the world. We know teamwork can be both more effective and more human, no matter how close or far you are.

Today, thousands of teams use Range to:
Know what's going on, on remote and distributed teams
Have fewer, more effective meetings
Build team connection and culture

As a next step, schedule a complimentary 30 minute consultation with our Team Effectiveness Coach.  We’ve learned that everyone knows they’re wasting time in meetings, but they aren’t always sure what to do. Our Team Effectiveness Coach will quickly review your current meeting practices, pinpoint time wasters, and provide personalized recommendations for your team — both within Range and outside of it. Book time here.

Hi Florent,

I am a teamwork expert at Range and wanted to introduce myself as a resource to help you improve teamwork on Range.

I’d recommend checking out these two resources to help get started:

Team effectiveness guide - A guide to building strong communication practices with your team

Are there specific issues your team is struggling with? I can share a few other suggestions.

Hi Florent - Were you able to successfully onboard your team to Range?

Since building a team culture in a remote-first world is hard, I wanted to share some final tips. The best team building questions and some fun online drawing games have really helped other teams get to know one another and share some laughs.

If any questions come up or you want tips and tricks for utilizing Range, feel free to book a time that is convenient:  calendly.com/seanhoag

 t+3d  Spotlight: Check-ins

From: Sean from Range < hoag@range.co >
Subject: Hourglass Save your team hours each week with Check-ins
Hi Florent,

Range is here to make remote collaboration and teamwork easier. It all starts with the Range Check-in, async status updates with some secret powers:
Delightful and quick to write with integrations that pull in all your work
More human with mood sharing and team-building questions
More transparent with visibility in Range, Slack, email, and more

Teams at Google, Twitter, Carta and more, use Check-ins to replace or supplement meetings — so that they can have more dedicated heads-down time.

Try writing your first Check-in!

Thanks,
Sean

Subject: Who likes a 9am standup?
Hi Florent,

We all like our teammates, but joining standup first thing in the morning is not always fun. We’d rather be having a cup of coffee and settling into our work.

Standups are often scheduled first thing in the morning because they help teammates plan their day. With Range, everyone can plan their day on their own time, sharing a check-in when it makes sense for them. Then, they can find time to meet with their team on their own time—maybe later in the morning.

Check out this video from Range’s VP of Engineering Jean Hsu on how she uses Range to start her day.

Subject: How Informed K12 uses Range to increase accountability in standups
Hi Florent,

Sometimes, we end up having a bad standup: it runs long, interrupts someone’s work, teammates zone out, or folks don’t actually get the info they need. These types of problems are okay if they happen every now and then, but if they start to be more frequent, it’s time to think about changing up your standup.

Ethan, a manager at Informed K12 (and formerly at Twitter for many years), uses Range to replace the accountability portion of his team’s standup. They use Range to share written Check-ins before meeting face-to-face over video.

It makes it really easy to see what people are working on, how they’re connecting and following up with each other without having to chase those updates down. It’s been great, and a real pleasure to have this part of my manager life taken care of.” - Ethan, Informed K12
